No sooner than we post our resumes in job portals like Naukri, Jobstreet etc than fake recruitment consultants call and ask for money and tell that they will give reference code making selection stress free and easy in the interview.  On 23rd February 2016 I received a call from +91 95995 92950 (23 Feb 2016 12:04. The lady was trying to talk in sweet convincing voice and when I used a stern note and asked her who she was talking with, she got little panicky and gave the same to her collegue. .He replied the same story again.

I have reported this issue to the following departments:

  1. Central Labor Commissioner Office (via PMO) vide Reference Number PMOPG/E/2016/0075017
  2. Chennai City Police CCTNS vide Reference Number BUD1603285 pending with DCP Kilpauk.

The conversation update I sent on 20th August 2017 is as below (following a callback from Crime Branch on 19th August 2017)

On 23rd February 2016 I received a prank call from a fake recruiter (+91 95995 92950). I have promptly reported the same (6th March 2016) to the following people.

  • Central Labor Commissioner Office (via PMO) vide Reference Number PMOPG/E/2016/0075017
  • Chennai City Police CCTNS vide Reference Number BUD1603285 pending with DCP Kilpauk.

While the PMO Office has actioned upon the complaint promptly and on 29th March 2016, Office of DCP (Kilpauk) hasn’t exercised any action on it till May 2017 and after that they forwarded to Crime Branch and I am getting disturbing calls from +91 86105 57292 during my weekends and late hours.

I have completed my statutory obligation of reporting a law enforcement issue with fullest extent and that completes my responsibility. Hence any calls from CB or other department can only percieved as an harassment and disturbance.

I have already brought this to the notice of TRAI vide 2207346298 as an abetting of fake recruitment. I have adjudicated the issue as abetment on the ground that there has been long enough delay to give the accused as good an escape with the booty as possible.

It is unfortunate that even after one and half years the fake recruiter’s telephone number is still active without being decommissioned.  Additionally I would like to add that the number I got a call from purportedly CB was also not properly recognized by international directories like TrueCaller.  The caller also failed to introduce himself properly and soliciting personal confidential information.
